The Barco® Nio MDNG-2121 is an excellent choice for radiologists who want an affordable grayscale diagnostic display monitor for reading general radiology cases without compromising image quality.
The MDNG-2121's (1,600 x 1,200 pixels) 21-inch screen offers a large viewing area with a viewing angle of 170°. The Barco® Nio MDNG-2121 is available in a single- or multi-head configuration, with excellent color matching between displays, and is usable in portrait and landscape orientation.
The Barco® Nio MDNG-2121 has a 10-bit architecture that enables 1,024 shades of gray simultaneously out of an existing palette of 4,096 shades. This results in highly accurate reproductions of medical images on the screen and lets subtle details pop without the need for panning or zooming. Additionally, the anti-reflective, protective front cover improves image contrast while preventing damage to the screen. It also makes disinfecting the screen easier and safer for the electronic components.
Preserve image quality, prolong equipment uptime, and maintain DICOM compliance with no manual effort on your part. Without disrupting reading sessions, the Barco® Nio MDNG-2121 continually makes automatic adjustments to screen brightness using integrated MediCal QAWeb® software and the Backlight Output Stabilization (BLOS®) sensor. When the Nio MDNG-2121 is paired with Barco® MXRT high-speed display controllers, you can further boost workflow efficiency.
With any monitor, brightness dims over time. To compensate for this inevitability and maintain brightness levels that comply with DICOM, the BLOS sensor on the Barco® Nio MDNG-2121 measures the output of the monitor's lamps and then communicates with the monitor's electrical panel to increase luminance as needed. As an added benefit, the BLOS sensor significantly shortens power-up time.
With the proper adapter, the Barco® Nio MDNG-2121 is compatible with any graphics card, as well as both Windows and Mac. As a result, you won't have to worry about the monitor's compatibility with your workstation, laptop, or PC.
